A 2007/2008 initiative has given a charge to MAIUG’s Steering Committee to migrate the MAIUG website to an independent host.  Two members from the steering committee chaired this sub-committee and with the assistance of several volunteers from the MAIUG community worked to achieve this initiative into fruition.  They are:

• Sharon Neal, Website Committee Chair from Alvernia College Library
• Ann B. Kolodzey, Website Committee Vice-Chair from Widener University School of Law Library
• Janice Painter, Princeton Library (Volunteer)
• Maggie Ahrens from York County Library Systems. (Volunteer)

In addition to the committee members, MAIUG has been fortunate to be the recipient of volunteer assistance from Miro Liwosz a member of Alvernia College’s Educational Technology Department.  He advised Sharon Neal and assisted with the initial mock up web site and its migration to the new platform.  We are also fortunate to have Keith Berthrong from the Earle Mack School of Law at Drexel University Law Library who has agreed to take on the role of MAIUG’s website Administrator.

Congratulations to the Web Site Committee for completing this major task and providing us with a new venue for all MAIUG communications.
