About MAIUG

The Journey of MAIUG Since 1951

Established in 1951, the Malaysian Association of Indian University Graduates is one of the oldest societies in Malaysia. We focus on building a caring society while continually evolving to meet the needs of our community.

Originally founded as The Indian University Graduates Association of Malaya, the organization was renamed following Malaysia’s independence, becoming the Malaysian Association of Indian University Graduates (MAIUG). Over the decades, MAIUG has expanded its reach to welcome all Indian graduates from universities worldwide.

From its humble beginnings, MAIUG has evolved in both purpose and impact. Today, we remain rooted in our founding values, but with a renewed focus: fostering a caring, inclusive, and civic-minded society.

We are proud to have supported thousands of Indian graduates across the nation—offering opportunities for personal growth, professional networking, and meaningful community engagement.
